Oops...forgot the MAF sensor...check engine light on!
Hi everyone,
So, I took off the air box to do some good cleaning. When I put it back on I forgot to reconnect the MAF sensor (I know, I know...). Then I started the car. Well, everything seemed well but then the check engine light came on. I turned it off and reconnected the MAF sensor. It has been a few days now and the light is still on.
Doesn't this thing recheck at some point? What's the best way to clear it? Hit up the auto parts store for a free "check"?
Thanks,
Mike

I did the exact same thing when installing my block heater.
Fortunately I have a ScanGuage. With it I was able to find and clear the code. So, yes, your auto parts store should be able to clear it.
I'm glad we don't need the kilobuck Toyota scantool to do this...
