Default One on the horizon....hope it's a fast ship!

Was told yesterday that ONE of the dealerships that I have been working with has been allocated a loaded TCH. The only problem is that it isn't one of the 5 colors that I had desired, it's super white. Told them I would accept it and also asked if it was possible for them to do a dealer trade with a similarly equipped model in a different color. He didn't seem to promising regarding that. I still have a few other irons in the fire and maybe something else will materialize before the 30 day expected arrival. The big question I have is how another dealer has promised me one the first or second week of July, but has no info on it regarding color, etc. and this dealer is expecting the super white TCH 2 weeks later and has all the details? Is the first dealership just blowing smoke?

I don't want to definitely say he is, but I definitely feel like I was being yanked around quite a bit by some of the dealers. It could just be that the latter has more details. I was personally getting frustrated by some of the Cinci dealers who could tell me absolutely nothing about arrival times or about the car except for color.

When I finally did track mine down, they knew everything about it. It was the difference between a huge, huge dealership and a smaller one. Just keep all your nets cast and something will work out.

If its not a color that you like, you may want to wait a couple of weeks more..dont give up. You will probably live with the car for the next few years.

I have been through a very similar experience. My wife was very keen on the Blue Ribbon. Within one week, we passed up FIVE super white ones waiting for a blue one. We were totally frustrated and almost ready to accept the sixt hSuper White when a dealer who had been promising a Blue Ribbon called

No idea why Toyota is making so many Super Whites .. looks like Blue and Magnetic Grey are very hard to come by.

Incidentally, our is the only Blue 2007 Camry (Hybrid or not) we have seen on the raods yet.

I would say if you have chosen your "top 5" colors, you're being more than flexible in your search. The two dealers I worked with tried to make me provide a "top 3", which I did initially. Later, after seeing all the colors in person (except for "green apple"<g>), I decided that Mag Gray was the only color I truly wanted, so I held out and passed up a few "acceptable" colors along the way. Sure, it took me an extra month, but I'm so happy I waited!

My dealer at first told me to pick four colors and he would try to get one of the four. I stated to him that if I am going to pay 30k for a car I would like my first choice of color. After a few moments of my dealer leaving his desk to talk to the "sales manager" he finally said that he would get my first choice of color. Being that a car is huge investment, and I do understand how difficult is to wait for this car (still waiting on mine < one month), one should hold out to get what one truely desires and not to settle with anything less. With that said, the TCH does look good in just about any color. I am getting the titanium, but I just recently saw the blue on this website and wow that looks good. I hope your TCH gets to you soon I know the anxiety is killing me.
