Default Oil poll

OK, now don't get ticked with me, I have a point here. OK, really, I'm just too lazy to go back and track the dozens of threads about oil weight and synthetic vs. conventional, so since my first change is now due, I thought I'd ask the audience what they prefer: weight and type. Thanks for the input.

I didn't know there was such a thing as 0W-20 conventional (Dino). Synthetic - yes, but not dino.

Mobil 1 0W-20 from Wal-Mart (they do not sell the right filter)
Mobil 1 oil filter from Wuto-Zone (they do not sell the oil)
Both installed by my local quickie-lube store (they sell neither the oil or filter)

There may not be, other than Vegetable oil. Hey, no trans fats, right?

I voted for the synthetic 5W-20, but my next change will be 0W-20 (if I can find it). I couldn't find it for my first change.

Two questions:

1. I was at Sam's club looking at the different oil they sold, but none of it said "synthetic" on it. How do you tell if oil is "regular" or synthetic?

2. What "number/range" of oil should be used in the Northeast-New York City area?

Cannot vote as I don't see my oil listed.

What is it you use? I thought about adding blends, but polls with thousands of answers bother me. I like 'em short and easy.

By the way, I appreciate everybody's voting. I'm taking my TCH in for its first oil change on Saturday and requested 0W-20 synthetic. They checked and said they have it, and the service coordinator said it's what their service manager recommends for the TCH. So far, so good.

Thanks, everybody.
