The second link explains the pulse and glide technique. There is a link inside the second thread that has a very good write up about pulse and glide.

Congrats on the new ride. I am glad Vince got you squared away with some good links. The only advice I have.... don't use the words "seeks advice" in a thread title. In here, that's like wearing a pork-chop necklace to go pick out a new guard dog!
