I too was rear-ended on my then 1 month old TCH while sitting still at a redlight. $8000 in damage caused by a Ford E-250 van. He only had a license plate hanging down afterwards, but my bumper, lights, and trunk were smashed. I could even read his plate number in my bumper. Because the TCH was so new (Sept '06) when it happend, I waited over a month to get it back because of parts availability at the time.

 

Sucks that you got hit. I took a hit like that in my old Mazda 929 about 5 years ago.
Why aren't you getting a rental from the guilty party's insurance out of this? (Just curious).

 

cmartinez95, I did not pay to get a rental car through my insurance carrier so I never thought about it. I also have use of my dad's car in the mean time.

I just got the estimate today and the damage is gonna cost $10,000 to repair. The insurance adjuster estimated that the repairs would be complete by mid-January. I hope it doesn't take that long.
