I have found that rattles and squeaks are best fixed by myself - a tech in a car for a test drive may not really find the location whereas we are in the car a lot longer and can probably pin point it better.. I had a rattle in the dash that comes and goes and behold it wasn't there when they test drove it - so I fixed it myself with some pads..... They wouldn't even try to fix it as it sounded like Toyota wants specific answers and solutions to exactly what was the problem and the fix....

Was it the "windshield clack" that some people have reported? It's not a rattle but more of a single clack per bump in the road. And it occurs more frequently in cold weather.

There are little clips that are attached to where the windshield is installed. Ask you dealer about the TSB because they were not clipped off at the factory and can cause a rattle.

I saw that TSB - but I think mine is a rattle because I can make it go away by pushing down on the dash...

Try removing the speaker cover and lining it with some foam tape. That cleared mine up.

Does that speaker cover just lift off or snap off... Thanks! It has always been in cold weather and I slid some black fabric covered cardboard in about 4 locations along the windshield and dash - so far so good!!!

It just snaps off, using a tape covered screwdrive, just gently pry it off.
