Thumbs down More gremlins

A couple of weeks ago the display on my JBL showed nothing, totally dead. Next time I started the car it worked fine.

Friday on the way home from work I had a stranger gremlin. The climate control was in AUTO mode with the driver's switch controlling both driver and passenger side. I looked down and the DUAL light was lit. Thought this was strange as I had been the only one in the car for several days, so I turned off dual mode and continued. Looked down a couple of minutes later. Even though I had not touched the climate control it was again in DUAL mode. The TCH and I continued to play our little game the rest of the trip. I tried doing different things; changing the temperature, changing the fan speed, even pressing the off-hook button on the steering wheel. No correlation, it would just go into DUAL mode whenever it wanted. Did the same thing the next time I started the car.

Since then it has not repeated the problem.

These cars are doing weird things I tell you..

My mom just bought a 07 XLE V6 and had XM put in. She would change the channel and after 5 seconds or so it would change it up a channel OR 2 by itself. It would do this randomly. Toyota was confused about it and tried to blame it on XM. I knew this was bull as XM does not change your channels. It has just completely stopped doing it as of 2 days ago on it's own.

I don't plan on doing anything about it other than telling them about it the next time I'm there for service and making sure it's on my service ticket. I can't see them tracking down something like that unless there's something in the error code. But if it becomes a chronic problem after the warranty expires I want proof that it was doing this during the warranty period.
