Missing inner fuel "hatch"

Re: Missing inner fuel "hatch"
The TCH doesn't have a little "flap".
It was used to keep the vapors in the tank, though it never worked well. The TCH has a vapor recovery system (the reason you sometimes have to wait to fuel up) There should be no vapors coming out when the cap is off, so there is no need for the flap.

I have some time tomorrow, so I might take it by to get the service guys to give me their input.

No, but the Diesel nozzle is the larger size that the old 'regular' pumps were. And you may be surprised as to the number of the clueless who pump Diesel into a 'gas' engined car...
The flap with the restricted neck makes that bit of stupidity harder...

Re: Missing inner fuel "hatch"
The "flap" was to prevent INTENTIONALLY fueling with (generally) less expensive and/or higher performance leaded.
The "clueless" will always remain off in left field on their own.
But now that diesel is more expensive that isn't as likely.
