Lug Nut Torque

Anyone know off hand how much the lug nuts on the tires should be torqued to?

Standard value: "wrench tight plus a quarter turn" :>)

Service manual states 76 ft-lbs.

Dang...I knew I was doing something wrong. I was taught:

"Tighten it until it breaks, then back it off a quarter turn".

The correct value is half a turn before it breaks!

The physics lab had a sign that warned:

DO NOT LOOK INTO LASER WITH REMAINING EYE
