Default I did it!!! 60.3 mpg....

I can't believe I did it. Route 1 in New Jersey can work wonders for you!!! First I got my best tank ever last week at 42.58 mpg calculated(43.3 on the dash-I have the non nav)...And then yesterday after driving for 9 miles after fillup, mostly on route 1,NJ doing 60-70 mph (gliding a lot or keeping the instant mpg meter at 50mpg or above) I obtained 60.3 mpg. I pulled over on NJ Turnpike just to take this picture... It actually went up to about 60.7 mpg after slowly rolling on EV on the side before merging with traffic. The downside of all this is that now I am in NYC and the reading is down to 42mpg

View attached file for a glimpse at my accomplishment...

PS: Reduce the size considerably for better viewing (I took pic with my cam phone and don't know how to attach JPG files on this forum so I had to convert it to an Adobe file)

Only 9 miles?

I guess that's an impressive acomplishment. Was it mainly flat or down hill road?

It was a combination of all. from somewhere around Forrestal road exit on Route 1 all the way to NJ Turnpike off of Route 18 (that is if you know a lil about Route 1 & the Turnpike).

Tell me what your max average is going in reverse. That will shed some light.

It wouldn't be fair comparing my max avg for the reverse commute due to the fact that the time of occurence (rush hour traffic as opposed to 9pm at night) varies greatly so you can't glide freely without impeding traffic flow. However, I think my reverse commute should be around 45 mpg (Once again I don't have the Nav so all I can tell is that it is above 41 mpg on the dash).
