There are two types of consumers...fanatics (usually found at most forums) and normal folk. Clearly, there are significantly more gas powered vehicles sold than hybrid equivalent, so the numbers bear out the respective popularity of the vehicles.
Yes, we all love ours and will most likely replace it with a similarly powered vehicles, but real world experience is quite obvious...hybrids are a niche product that is preferred by a smallish subset of the car buying market.
While it's tough to read the chart above (see http://www.hybridcars.com/news/march...ard-44059.html ) hybrids were 3.4% of all vehicles sold.

It would be nice if Toyota priced the base TCH the same as a base Camry I4 ICE. That's what Ford has done with the Lincoln MKZ and MKZH. I don't know if they'll continue that practice with the revamped '13 model due out this fall. But I thought it was smart to eliminate the hybrid premium. They could probably price it that way and still make money because the car is essentially a tricked-up Ford Fusion hybrid with a Lincoln name plate and you're already paying a pretty hefty premium for that. 
Frankly, the Ford/Lincoln dealers don't seem to have a clue about selling the hybrid versions of the MKZ and Fusion - and this gives one considerable pause as to the competence of their service depts to fix any faults that may show up. The cars are quite nice. The support infrastructure - not so much, at least in NE FL.

And in other news, Prius C is the fastest selling car in America, surprising most so called auto experts.

what is "fastest selling"? never heard that statistic...is it 'how long it takes the guy to make up his mind'? (okay, I'll take it!!! hurry take my money, I'm in a rush!!!)
