Hybrid Mileage DB - No change in TCH mpg avg since Dec?

Re: Hybrid Mileage DB - No change in TCH mpg avg since Dec?
The DB will update for each user when they input their data, but the main Mileage DB display isn't updating and hasn't for months. So, if you select an individual model like the TCH, you get all the data, as an earlier poster in this thread showed. But the roll-up summary isn't updating. The TCH is not averaging 37.0 and 37.1 like it shows. See the post by john312 where he calculated 36.3 and 36.8. Also the database summary shows 217 TCH cars in the DB. But there is 314 cars with records in the DB.

As far as the mileage DB is concerned, that's truly disconcerting... I'm starting to wonder if it's still worth to continue posting there anymore. I mean, what's the point? We can keep our own figures on a spreadsheet at home with the same benefits (read: w/o the added bonus of being able to compare to a "group" average)! Besides, with so many "grayed out" entries, I suspect fewer & fewer folks are posting there anyways!

For the fun of it I did a cut and paste of the Camry page into a spreadsheet.
The total on the web page shows 217 cars but there are 314 cars displayed.
Just taking an average on the mpg column shows that the current average is 36.33.
Doing a slightly more weighted average sum(mpg * miles)/total camry miles shows that the average is 36.80

344 cars in the TCH database 1,541,650 miles driven
Simple Average 36.40 mpg
Weighted Average 36.81 mpg

Thanks for the work and the update. I don't know what has happened with tech support. I now keep my own set of backup mileage numbers in a spreadsheet in case this site goes belly up. It has been many months since the front page database displays have worked.

Re: Hybrid Mileage DB - No change in TCH mpg avg since Dec?
It looks like there are still problems with the graph on the main page that lists all of the hybrids (not just the Camrys). The Prius II shows an average of 25mpg, but if you go into their section, it appears to be more realistic.
Now, I wonder if they will change the EPA estimates for the TCH to match the upcoming revised standards. I think the new EPA combined for the TCH will be 34mpg. I hope they do, so I get the "hypermiler" star next to my car!

Re: Hybrid Mileage DB - No change in TCH mpg avg since Dec?
The problem with the graph(at the bottom) is that the numbers are offset by 1 row. That 25 number you quoted for Prius 2 belongs to the last line in the graph(the RX400h).

I'm happy that they are getting closer to having everything working again. (This also means that I won't need to run the TCH numbers through a spreadsheet like I have occasionally over the last few months. )
And it looks like we've picked up another 17 TCHs since 6/9 when I last ran the numbers.
