Hybrid Mileage DB - No change in TCH mpg avg since Dec?
Can anyone explain this?
Per the GH mileage database, the combined averages for our THC's in June & December were:
Right about that time, many complained that the winter months were upon us and would significantly hurt our FE.... but it's now close to March, and the db averages are now:

Oops, my bad... I somehow never came across your [recent!] thread -- or it was already marked as "read" on my list, dunno how. I usually groan (to myself) whenever I see a question being posed on this forum for which one or more extended posts are already out there, and now it happens to me.
Let's give Jason some time, I'm sure he's got several other priorities right now (incl. completing his degree at Rice, I imagine). I'm just glad this site exists at all; the members seem overall quite more "personable" than on other TCH forums I've perused these past 9 months.

Re: Hybrid Mileage DB - No change in TCH mpg avg since Dec?
For the fun of it I did a cut and paste of the Camry page into a spreadsheet.
The total on the web page shows 217 cars but there are 314 cars displayed.
Just taking an average on the mpg column shows that the current average is 36.33.
Doing a slightly more weighted average sum(mpg * miles)/total camry miles shows that the average is 36.80
Hopefully Jason will figure out what is wrong.

Interesting...didn't know this. I wonder if the owner(s) post here?

Re: Hybrid Mileage DB - No change in TCH mpg avg since Dec?
I'm not sure if I am misunderstanding the previous couple of posts regarding the new owner of this site, but the press release says the new owner (carsdirect.com) took over as of Jan 2006, so it has been over a year. I think the comments about the data base not changing is in reference to Dec 2006, just 4 months ago.
I know, I am confused, but not too confused to see and buy the greatness of the TCH!
Can anyone clear up my confusion?

I think its working, people just may not be entering the info. It updates when you enter the info at least a couple weeks ago it worked for me.
