Help: Tank mpg not reset
Help please.
Yesterday, I wanted to start a new tank record, even though I needed little gas. (I had resumed using the plug-in unit following a brief period without it, and I wanted to begin a new tank record for evaluation of fuel consumption with the plug-in unit.)
I filled the tank adding about 2.5 gallons.
I expected the tank mpg display on the MFD to reset, as it always had seemed to on previous fill-ups.
But it did not.
Anybody know why it might not have reset or how I could force a reset ?

I could guess that as well, but does anyone out there know what the limit is or know how to force the reset?
Jack,
Someone with the factory scan tool can reset the mileage or a Snap-on Solus Pro, Modis or Verus can do this if you go into the body control module. The problem is most of the people that have them will charge you quite a bit to clear it.

If I knew how much gas fill-up is required to make the reset happen, and it were not too great a quantity, I suppose I could siphon it out and then back in.
