Re: Hellish oil change experience at Mossy Toyota
Anyone else notice how little oil the TCH uses? I'm at 4,800 miles and the oil is still at the full mark. I've been checking the oil level since I bought the TCH and am very surprised at the low oil usage. Not even down 1/4 of a quart after almost 5,000 miles.
I'm going in for my "free" oil change next week. Any suggestions on what I tell service or to watch out for? Mossy Toyota is nearer to me, but I'll be going to Chula Vista Toyota for the oil change.

Just a WAG.

You realy need to wait until the car is totally broken in. Expecially getting the rings seated.
The TCH's ICE runs much less of the time than a conventional ICE. I have to believe the break-in period might be a tad longer because of this.

Dealers normally pump oil from a 55 gallon drum.

Re: Hellish oil change experience at Mossy Toyota
Well, my disappointment with Mossy Toyota continues to grow. My oil change was Sept. 2, and I filed a formal complaint with national customer service the same day. Mossy Toyota had three business days to respond to me. So far, I've had no reply. I wrote a note to the customer service manager at Mossy, after she was a "no show" to our appointment, and she never called to apologize or explain why she didn't show up. Nearly two weeks ago, I left a friendly voicemail for her, saying that we had several issues yet to complete, and she did not return that call either. She promised to mail me oil change vouchers, and I have not yet received them.
What's my next step? Call or write the GM at Mossy? Re-contact Toyota's national customer service department with my case info? Or just continue to remind people of my horrible impressions of Mossy Toyota?

I've looked under my TCH and there is very little room, perhaps 7 inches at most? Looks like too tight a squeeze to slide under it. What is your secret?
