Default Heated Mirrors

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if a TCH can be ordered with the heated mirrors but without the heated seats? Also, what are the benefits of having heated mirrors. I'm not too familiar with how they work and am trying to decide whether or not to order my TCH with it.

Thanks all.

It can be gotten as a separate $30 option. But will most likely come as part of a convenience pkg, which requires the leather pkg. It is possible some basic Camry Hybrids will come with Heated mirrors without the seat pkg, but unlikely unless you buy from a dealer in the snowbelt. You could ask a dealer if they can install heated mirrors as a dealer option.

And getting a Camry special ordered from the factory with just the options you want isn't the Toyota way of doing things.

Here is how they work. When you turn on your defroster, the heated mirrors also turn on to clear away any ice or frost buildup.

Why would you need them? If you live in the snow belt, it helps with driving visibility when driving in cold icy weather where you get a lot of snow or freezing rain.

The base model we test drove had heated mirrors as its only added option. I think it's fairly common for them to add heated mirrors to cars up here in New England.

I was told that all the "base" TCHs in the Central Atlantic region got heated mirrors by default. It's a $30 adder, which I'm more than happy to pay. I often get dew on my side mirrors in the mornings and heated mirrors cleans it off quickly. At least in my VW Passat. I'll report back when I finally get my TCH.

My car, bought in the Los Angeles area, had floor mats and heated side mirrors, but nothing else. It was a base model. But most of the heated-side-mirror cars are shipped to areas that get cold in winter.

I was hoping that the heated mirrors would clear away the morning dew quickly and sounds like it would be good for that purpose from what you all are saying. Thanks a bunch!

Yes, I have used them a few times for exactly that purpose. They turn on when the rear defroster is activated.

As I understand it, heated mirrors are on the TCHs here in Texas. I suspect that they aren't really an option nationwide.

Has anybody got a TCH yet without paying $30 more for heated mirrors? I have a feeling it is pretty much standard equipment that is only shown as an option. It was an added in option (not by my choice) to my base model TCH that I had to pay $30 for. I wasn't about to argue over the $30. I'm sure it will really come in handy on those two days or so a year when the temperature in Hawaii plummets to 56 degrees...

I'm just glad it didn't come with heated seats!!
