Have you ever purchase an extended warranty (on another car) before buying the TCH?
I bought one for my 90 and 97 Mercury Sables and they both paid for themselves (4 yr/100k mi - I always hit the mileage limit first) [The 90 Sable ran for 175k mi and the 97 for 220k]
At nearly 38k mi on the TCH I'm into the extended warranty period so we'll see how things go this time.

I also have purchased Ford's ESP plan(s) in the past.
An important thing to remember (or know) is that when you sell the vehicle, you are entitled to the remainder of the warranty time (prorated) in dollars back.
That's right, a check back for warranty time/mileage unused.
You must send a WRITTEN request and a check will be sent to you.
I have done this twice with two Ford ESP plans.
Get out your contract and read the fine print.
