I use this slot to store my open box of Orbit gum. It fits PERFECTLY.

I use my TCH for work and have found that slot to be a great place to store business cards.

Neither did I.
Maybe it's for your car's registration, although it would be perfect if it were wide enough to hold the insurance card, also (it isn't, I tried)

I put my little bits of trash (gum wrappers, used tissues, etc) in it until I stop somewhere and then I crumple them in my hand and take them to a garbage can.
