Default front bumper removal

Hello all,

Does anyone have any info or guidance on removing the front bumper to access the lights, etc?

I thought I saw a PDF from someone out there but a search didn't turn up anything. Ideas?

Thanks!

Meerkat,

If you are talking about the headlights and turn signals, you do not need to remove the bumper. If you are working on the left side of the car, turn the wheels to the right and loosen the retainers for the wheel well liner (front edge). You can then GENTLEY pry the inner cover back and access the lights from behind. Reverse for the passenger side.

If for some reason you do need to remove the bumper, do a search in the gen 6 Camry forum at toyotanation.com. They have several DIY's with pictures that will help you out.

Im looking at replacing the assembly on each side with a "custom" one (halo rings). Does you rmethod allow for the entire assembly to be removed and replaced?

Thanks

Meerkat,

You will need to drop the bumper for this one. It does not take too long but you do need to see the DIY's with pictures on TN to make it easier to do.

How about 2?

Front bumper removal:

Remove headlight assembly without bumper removal (tighter but your hands might be smaller and more nimble than mine...)
