Considering that one will be putting an emergency helper in harms way, for a vanity that I don't understand, I would hope that most answer NO!

If an unsuspecting person thinking it's a 'regular car', or someone not trained in hybrids, attempts to rescue a de-badged vehicle, they might be in for a shocking experience.

The hybrid tag is a badge of honor.

I hate seeing Camry's without them!

You have a great car...be proud of it!

I keep an eye out for hybrids on the road and this morning I almost didn't notice the small "Hybrid" badge on a Civic that was in front of me. If I almost missed the hybrid badge on an otherwise normal looking vehicle, then you can be sure that 90% of people will never know that your car is a hybrid simply because of a few badges.

I actually like the idea that the TCH has the badges because it sends the message that this is not your grandma's Camry.

Also, I have heard that rescue workers need to know if a car is a hybrid so there may be a valid safety reason for keeping the badges.

I only started this poll because I have seen several people who have stated that they did and one who has it in their sig line. I was just curious as to how many did and why. I personally won't do it and am not ashamed to be driving a hybrid. I don't think it detracts from the appearance either. However, I am not a car buff.

I took off the Camry badge on the back. Just painted on pinstripes and plan to stencil Camry just below the stripes on each side. Always thought the Camry badge on the rear looked crooked. Don't plan to take off the hybrid badges. I like other drivers knowing that it was a hybrid that just passed them.

As a rule, I hate badging on cars and motorcycles. Pull'em off if you can. The hybrid logo is the one exception because of the risk to EMTs.

IMHO, one of the best looking cars ever was the Buick Grand National. It was black, VERY black. No extra adornments or shiny stuff except for the logo on the side of the door (which always made me think of Jiffy Lube).

My personal preference is for less, not more, but I love the way my car looks as it is, badges and all.

The hybrid badges are needed for safety. First responders need to be able to look at a car and see that it has high voltage.

If anyone is interested here is a link to the TCH First Responders manual.

Strange that someone would want to appear to downgrade to a standard Camry...

You already didn't get a Prius. Isn't that enough?

Mine are staying for the duration!
