Turk,

Have you had any success with this? I've tried it a few times with no luck but have had some trouble with other "customization" options.

If I'm reading it correctly, we can open/close the sunroof using the remote. I had no idea, and I'd missed that feature it since moving to the TCH from the Passat. As soon as it stops raining I'll check it out [/quote]

I tried it too, and the roof won't budge (sunroof that is).

No joy on the sunroof, either opening or closing, manual or wireless.

Another one of those frustrating things about this car that make you go "hmmmm."

I changed a few options on my TCH today. Turned off the DRL (hate'em) and both seat belt buzzers (D&P). The scan tool screens do not appear to match the documentation. There are no Sunroof option available under "Customize" and many options are in a differing order.

As for the seat belt buzzer, I tried three or four times and it did indeed work for me. Maybe it only works for certain revisions of the car or something. I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work for you as it has for me. I bought my TCH in August so I don't know if that gives any more info, but my TCH is fully loaded with NAV and remote start.

Interesting link regarding the UN-buckling of the belt, but I can try to see if that works in mine as well.
Ask your dealer for a seatbelt extension. IT'S FREE. I use it because of arthritis, can't reach back. When it is connected to the inside belt on either seat, the buzzer won't work whether you buckle up or not.

Lightbulb TOYOTA Intelligent II Tester

Has anyone used a aftermarket Toyota Intelligent II OBD-2 Tester to interface and make changes to the the ECU?

I know this is an old thread, but I got one of the "mongoose MFC" cables, actually an xHorse MFC cable. That with a copy of techstream will allow you to get in the ECU and change all of these setting just like a dealer can. Actually you will be using the exact same system a dealer would use.

I have already change many of the settings on three vehicle I own.

2007 Camry Hybrid
2007 Tundra
2008 Land Cruiser

It worked great on all 3 vehicles.
