Hello everyone,

I just got my titanium metallic TCH yesterday and when I drove it, I noticed a cricket-like sound when the gas pedal is pressed. I find it a bit annoying and it makes me feel like something is wrong with this car. Do you all hear such a sound in your TCH's?

No, I don't hear a cricket-like noise in my TCH, and I have driven it with the stereo and a/c off severeal times just so I can "listen" to the quiet.

 

Are you sure your leg is not leaning against the center console, if so you probably have the center console squeak a lot ofus have. There are a few good posts on what to do. I took mine apart last week, but did not have any felt and used rubber based tape, which only lasted a day untiol the rubbing rubber tape now makes the noise. I will get some felt tape/pads this weekend and fix it for good (I hope).

 

The sound doesn't sound like it's coming from the center console. When the start button is pressed the engine is quiet but when I press on the gas pedal I notice a little sound. Is that normal?
