Complete Service Manual PDF
Tell you what, if I knew it would be this easy I could have saved myself and awful lot of hassle, (and complaining).
www.tradebit.com is an e-publisher in Germany. For $11.99US you can go there and download the entire factory service manual set for 2007-2009 Camry Hybrid.
WOW! Now I can really tackle some annoying things. At the very least I want full control authority over my NAV system, yes, even if the car is moving. Sometimes I have co-pilot and I don't need some software nanny deciding what is 'safe' for me to do. Speed-sensor spoof, coming right up.
Next up is hacking those freaking hall-effect sensors in the seat belt buckles. If I want to roll, un-belted across the long-term lot at LAX, so I can get to my wallet easier... I should be allowed to do so without that gawd-awful dinger thing assaulting me into compliance.
Oh, Yes, I am previewing it now... Full and complete schematics.
I'm beginning to feel a twinge of freedom, and it feels good.

I shall spend the rest of the afternoon resolving a minor electrical/lighting issue on the intrepid wifemobile. And I will not cast the slightest look at the Blue Camry the rest of the weekend.

Good...
(reminds me of the scene in Animal House when they trashed the car....Bluto suggested they drink heavily and his friend said....'listen to him, he's pre-med')

Just thinking about the site you got your service manual from: that seems an exceptional deal. Typically hard copy Service Manuals are around $100, and pdf versions (not scans of the paper version, but pdf's from the original electronic publication) are really pricey.
I would keep an eye on your credit card statements for the next few months, just in case.

"like when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor."
Greatest... Movie... EVAAAR!
I spent all of Spring Break 1979 watching that flick on a BetaMax with my brother and a few close friends.

I'm going to try and find a more elegant solution.
Really the Seat Belt dinger is a higher priority for me right now. Every time that farking thing goes into fast cycle I am overcome with the urge to dump clip of .45ACP right into the dash.
Upon reading the service manual, it appears that the stealer lied to me again when they said it "couldn't be turned off". (surprised face).

Went the website and did a search for "Camry Hybrid" and it popped up 4 choices from $11.99 to $24.99. They are all titled "Toyota Camry Hybrid 2007-2009 Service Repair Manual" ... wonder what the difference is between manual for $11.99 and the one for $24.99? The one for $24.99 has "complete" but they all say they are the same manuals used by the shop.

Re: Complete Service Manual PDF
I had a dealer tell me that the seal belt dinger was a "safety feature" and he wouldn't turn it off - he didn't say he couldn't but just wouldn't. I thought someone mentioned in another thread that it was a "scanner" setting or something like that. I would have it disabled in an instant if I could.
