Good to know there's an Alaskan around when you need one. Maybe I'll pick up a remote start for winter days when temps get into the low-50s in San Diego.

 

I stand corrected, my ICE will kick on before I put it in gear. Today at a drive in restruarant, it was about 80 and I put the A/C on while sitting and the ICE kicked on some while running in ECON (to charge the battery briefly I suppose). Didn't run long, but I still turned off the A/C and opened the windows.

 

I do believe it's a dealer ripoff when they require this. There has to be a lot of dealer markup in this option. I' rather give them $100 extra not to have it (then again I have a garage for winter)
