CAMRY and HYBRID badge removal
spgdxb -
You may or may not have luck going back to the dealer to have them remove it. If it's a sticker type, they usually come off very easily with a simple application of *light to moderate* heat from a hair dryer. They come off much easier when fresh! If it's a raised type, then you can use simple dental floss to "saw" underneath it and then remove the residue.
I'm with coolshock - it's a stipulation in any car I puchase from a dealer that all dealer badging be removed (or better yet, not put on in the first place). I sometimes allow a license plate bracket - but not always.
If you have the dealer do it before the purchase then they are on the hook if something goes wrong - not you.
Who wants those crappy, mis-matched, mis-aligned, tacky dealer advertisements on their car? Not me!

He thought it was funny and they "bought it".
I agree that badge removal looks nicer, but I think the first responder issue is very important and would never remove my badges. Whereas first responders are trained to look for other than the badges...it certainly makes their job easier if they can spot the badges right away.
Here's an interesting article about it.

The only real reason why the fire department needs to know if it is a hybrid or not is because they need to know what cable to cut. It is protocol for a lot of fire departments when arriving on the scene of an accident to cut the battery cables. Depending on how bad the accident is and how nice the fire dept is they may just unhook them rather than cut them.
I forgot about this site as it pertains to a hybrid car fire:

This one pertained to not cutting the high voltage cable:

Anyone know if the spoiler is removable without damaging paint? It adds nothing to the car's appearance or function, actually detracts from it imo, and I'd love to remove this overpriced plastic strip.
Who knows? I l love my car and am a hybrid advocate. I talk about the car a lot with friends and even strangers. ...So maybe I am the one who got the short end and did't charge enough!

Hm. I just saw an 07 Camry with no.. trim letters? As in the T on the back was there but no clue if it was a TCH, CE, XLE.... So rather than "shaved", would we just call that... "trimmed"...??
Hehe.
Hehe.
The "T"? I'm confused. There are no trim letters with the Hyrid version - if you remove the Hybrid Synergy Drive logo, there's nothing to indicate trim.
