I dont think i've ever needed to use the front de-mister, but in upcoming months i probably will so i will keep that in mind.
Thanks for the help! I still don't understand why sometimes the system will kick off or change on its own, though. Maybe I am hitting bumps like others have said...

I couldn't get the ECO on when I had the dash/windshiled mode on. I've found in rain or for the outside windows fog up easily and whe I put the fow to the windshield, even when sharing it with the dash vents it wouldn't go into ECO.
