Bike fits in TCH Trunk

I have a folding Dahon bike (http://www.dahon.com/us/speedtr.htm) and was happy to find out today there was no problem fitting it into the trunk.

Spendy bike...did anyone else catch and find funny the fact that they have a model named the "Hon Solo"

I can fit a full-sized bike, with large rear basket attached, in the back bench area, after removing the front wheel of course. But if it were 2" longer, I could not.

Right after I got my TCH I took the front tire off my bike, folded down the passenger side rear side, started putting my bicycle in the trunk and then thought better of it. It didn't seem like it would make it. If it did it seemed to be too easy to scratch something.
