Which one did you get?

Has anyone had any experience with the Sanyo CCA-BC200? It sounds like it has some interesting features.

I bought something like this from same seller. I am planning to install mirror to rear key hole by drilling into that plastic emblem holder. I will see its performance before drilling . I will post picture if drilled.

Hi Nyce,
I have ordered my camera from eBay. What kind of sub-d connector pins did you get from Radio Shack? Are they male or female? Please advise. Thanks. Circuit City here in Calif. will charge me about $100.00 to install the camera.

sub-d connectors were female. you can use a D-Sub Pin Insertion and Extraction Tool to extract the pins from any connector, solder the wires to the female connector and use the tool to insert it into the R10 connector.

I called CC just for curiosity and they wanted $550.00. I called a couple of other places and the best price was I buy the gear and two hours of labor at $90.00 an hour plus tax. I ordered the Eclipse BEC106 and a Dice iPod integration module. Both have shipped and are on their way for a DIY next weekend. I figured as long as I have it torn apart, I'll install the iPod mod. I need to get some felt pads as well.

Question Re: Back up Camrea installation to the NAV unt (with pictures)

Hi All,

Thanks everybody for teh useful info provided in this chain.
I contacted my Toyota Dealer and was told that they do not provide a backup camera for my TCH. They asked me for a number on the back of the Navigation screen. They checked if the number began with 1, 2 or 3 and somehow this tells them if they can install a backup camera on my TCH.

BEC106 looks like a good option, but i am lookinf for something more discrete.
I am planning to use this camera http://boyovta.com/products/vtl110.htm
But can someone help me with the following:

1) If I install this camera will I have have enough space to access teh trunk latch? I am concerned that the camera might block access to the trunk latch.

2) The voltage from the R10 connector for BEC106 was shown as 6V, can I get connect a camera that need 12V supply.

3) The video output from the camera is "1Vp-p 75 ohm composite" and the connector available is RCA. Can I just cut off the RCA connector from the cable and get two cables that I can plug into the V+ and Video Shiled pins of the R10 connector of the Navigation unit? If not any solution here?

If this does not work I will go for BEC106, but if I find some info I will try to use the License Plate camera.

12v can be obtained from reverse light, or you can use a 6V relay and power from battery at back.
