I tried joining the AF, but a pulse over 100 kept me out. I was upset at the time, but nowadays I'm glad. I don't know if I was cut out for that lifestyle.

It's definately not for everyone. You have to have an inordinate amount of dedication and be ready to sacrifice for it. Just like anything else......not all can or want to do it. I'm thankful i was able to serve 20 years and retire! We have an all volunteer military so we need people to serve........and always will.

Hey, I have an occasional restless leg problem!! And considering how nearly unbearable it can be the times it really hits full force, I can't imagine having to deal with that nightly, or if it gets worse than I have it. Of course I always expect there's some moderately simple explanation like something ingested that sets it off (caffeine, or.. I don't know), but if it's some more neurological thing... People laugh at the idea of it but when you literally can't sleep because this overpowering need to thrash your leg around (I've actually tried exercising, soaking it in cold water since it always feels like it's overheating to me too, etc to try to leech off excess energy--hey I'm an engineering geek, solution to too much energy in the leg must be to siphon some off right?? lol), it's maddening.

You may mock me now....

I too have restless leg syndrome, and all I can say about it is that I'd never wish it on anyone. It's real, it's neurological, and after it keeps you awake for the fourth night in a row, it's enough to really challenge your level of sanity.

I also live in NC. When I bought my Camry Hybrid in 2006, I found the bill you refer to. I wrote my representatives regarding the status, but of course, they never replied. I don't think it was ever brought to a vote. By the way, there are some nice solar power incentives in NC for hot water heating.

Did you know that in the 50s they used to give pregnant women METH to cure morning sickness?

I work at a (closing) pharmaceutical plant. I think it would be a great job if the plant were staying open, but it's not and 99% of the people are miserable and it makes work very tough.
