Here are the pictures ... As for the hybrid screen its the one that shows the battery to gas screen .. you still keep everything else its just the small screen...

Here's a link to another review on a different "OEM-style" NAV unit that just came out. Has a SD and USB slot in the front of the unit, and a stylus/holder to help with screen taps.

Now this is interesting. There is a 2009 Toyota Camry on a new car lot that I have been visiting on Sundays which has this exact same head-unit. I wondered why it was the only one with this different head unit. funny thing...the sticker never mentions that it's after- market. Buyer beware, I guess.
mda1224, is this "sticker" the factory sticker? And does it mention GPS or NAV? Or is it an "add on" sticker from the dealer? Just curious
The factory sticker is the only sticker on the vehicle...and it makes no mention of navigation or GPS. Let's hope they verbally tell the customer who buys it.
he never had it. you realize, that thread is 4 years old?
I had several emails exchanged with aftermarket look alike headunits distributors. none of those is hybrid data compliant, as in - you have to have special connectors and interfaces, for those units to be able to show hybrid data.
basically, they are nice replacement for cheaper OEM headunits and, in my opinion, better nav systems, with much more features than OEM ones. but hybrid data are gone. no can do.

to make sure why - those are made for non-hybrid vehicles. hybrids simply do not provide enough market to invest into cracking interfaces and compatibility issues for them. no incentive.
Thank you all for starting and responding to this thread.. good to know that I can take the display unit from my current '08 TCH and use it in another used vehicle. I also like that I could potentially add back up.
My input is to affirm that the navigation unit does not compare to a phone or other GPS unit. Out of date, expensive to update, and not user friendly.
