Going along at highway speeds, I have yet to top 37 mpg , which is the EPA rating for highway.
Just as an FYI, the EPA rating for the TCH is 38 and the City rating is 40.

No but the TCH will not stop regenerative braking just because the battery is full. Rather it uses the battery as a resistor and the battery dissapates the energy as heat since it can no longer store it chemically. Not a good thing. Let the TCH keep the battery SOC in the sweetspot of 90% <>10% Left alone it does the job just fine thank you very much.

No A/C on this tank so far - temps have been wonderful lately - mid 70s in the day, low 60s at night. When I run the A/C, the mpg is typically 43 or so. I do think the car is still improving on mpg.

My mpg on this tank is now 50.6mpg with 180 miles.

Short trips over the weekend and A/C usage dropped mileage to 47.3mpg... It's been slowly going back up this week. This morning parked with 49.0mpg displayed with 410 miles on the tank. It does seem a bit bizzare to have gone 400 miles and be just under half a tank.

I hope someone isn't tricking you and putting an extra gallon in your car regularly! LOL

Congrats!

Maybe you can bottle it and sell some here.

I just made a 15 mile loop into town and then took the long way back home. I was able to average 56.9 mpg. Yes I was driving 40 to 50 most of the time as there was no traffic and very few stops. It's nice to know that if I wanted to I could really drive a long way on a little bit of gas. Just think when the shortage comes the interstates will be empty and no one will mind that you're driving 50.

I managed 57.0 on an 8 mile trip after filling up. There was no stop and go traffic. I was able to go between periods of ICE where the battery would recharge and periods of EV. But I started with the SOC pretty high and just about exhausted it by the end.

If you were driving 40 to 50 I assume the ICE was running most of the time. Is that true, because I can't get anywhere near that mileage at that speed.
