I picked up my TCH today. Production Number 19860 with Version 6.

 

20836 with 6.1 Nav. Took delivery 9/1/06

 

Has anyone tried to duplicate the DVD yet?
I've been planning on doing this but never got around to it.

Legal issues aside, that could be an answer to those of us who got screwed.

The car arrived at the dealer on 7/20, was from the L.A., CA port.

 

I would assume that this would require a dual-layer DVD burner if the original is dual-layer.

 

I took delivery on 9/25/06 with number almost 22k and DVD DATA ver.06.1

 

I wouldn't trade or sell my v5.1 for all the tea in China. Since v6.1 has no override feature, I will be grateful for my early-production Camry Hybrid for a long, long time. Without override, I'd spend half my time pulling off the freeway to look up a phone number or address.

 

gotta believe that the override will be discovered soon (no one from service monitoring and willing to share?), but till then, I agree that I am happy with 5.1 + override...

 

I like the override capability, too, but I would ALSO like to have full routing around my area (something that isn't possible due to a missing major highway on the 5.1 disc)...

I have the opportunity to buy the 6.1 version for $150, but I can't wait too long, or the opportunity might pass me by (the dealer is offering it to me at their cost)...
