Default 2007 - TCH burning oil + codes

Hi guys,
Been a while since I posted. Engine's burning oil for a while I've been topping it up. I asked back in 2015 about the warranty program but was told my car wasn't eligible. Was at the dealer recently purchasing some coolant and asked about the burning oil and one of the service associates was nice enough to run the vin. She said my car was eligible but I missed the time cut off by 3 months. She suggested contacting Toyota Canada to see if they could help. Long story short they aren't willing to help. Pretty dissapointed with Toyota Canada but what can I do.

This was almost 2 months ago and now I've got a CEL with the following codes
P0031, P0138, P2195, P2238.

Guessing the burning oil is gumming up the sensors? Car runs fine. Can I just ignore these codes? Hoping somebody can provide some advice.

All are O2 sensor related and may very well be triggered by the excessive oil burn; however, that doesn't mean they should be ignored.

Obviously, if you're in a region where you have to pass emissions, those will fail you.

Thanks S.Keith you're always so helpful on this site. Thankfully, since it's a hybrid I don't have to do emissions testing here in Ontario. I was hoping to keep this car as long as possible and have been pretty diligent with the maintenance. I'm just not sure if there's any benefit to delving more into this if the car continues to burn oil.
I do have the techstream can post air/fuel trims if needed. I've just started reading up on air fuel/o2 sensor diagnostics. I haven't got a clue about this stuff.

The farther it gets from the battery, the dumber I get.

If you're on your original O2 sensors, it's likely they truly do need to be replaced and are affecting efficiency. Oil burn sucks, but it seems to be a characteristic of the Toyota Atkinson cycle hybrid ICE. My wife's 07 Prius needs about 1-1.5 quarts between oil changes. Mine at 145K is starting to burn some too.

Your O2 sensors probably need to be replaced. They do play a part in the fuel trim of the engine and are not that difficult or expensive to replace. If you plan on keeping the car, I would suggest changing them out as they can cause other issues down the road if left alone.
