So I have real stupid question to you then, David. As I could not find a REAR ABS sensor on mine. The only wire coming to the REAR hub was slip sensor. So does it have one? Front ones, I could pull them out in heartbeat. Rear one?

 

So I read Chilton for regular 07 Camry. There is good chance, what I thought was slip sensor connector actually is rear speed sensor connector. With speed sensor hidden inside the hub then.

OK, pulled this off Alldata account. Is "skid control" sensor same as speed sensor? That's the only sensor they have marked.
How it is replaced? Alldata says, those run $221 and $156 side dependent. Just for sensor.
Alldata does not have replacement information.

 

If you have AllData, look at the ABS section of the manual. it will show you how to disassemble the speed sensor / slip sensor from the hub.

 

I actually had to take the car in for the window switch recall & had them run a diagnostics to find what the problem was. Is there a particular scan tool you would recommend for the TCH?

My Alldata account is very primitive on repairs for this car. But anyhow, why bother? Slip sensor is listed at about same price as the entire hub assembly WITH sensor. I'll simply swap the hub.
Big Q is: WHICH HUB IS IT? As in my case, and I am HOPING it's hub, VSC light comse up about every 200 miles, normally on my way back from work, when Toyota dealership line mechanic is already gone home. I can't even scope it. As soon as I park the car and shut down for some time, light goes away and comes back - see above.

 

Jib, be a good pal, and tell us how exactly they figured it's hub bearing? "They just told me" is a good answer. But if you happen to have a better detail - please, do share.

Ya, sorry that's all I got he didnt elaborate, just handed me a paper that said it was the rr bearing & hub assembly with the quote on it. He seemed fairly perturbed I was changing the water pump myself & not taking it there to be done.
