In the market for a Vue...
Hello all.
I am in the market for a Vue. I currently own a 2007 Crew Cab Silverado, 4.8L V-8 (ouch...). With that said, I am in the market for something that gets better than the 15 mpg's that I am currently getting.
There is a 2009 ECOTEC 2.4L I4 Hybrid Vue for sale at a local dealership that I am intertested in.
I have been reading up on the Vue and am greatful to these forums! I have read that there have been some battery issues. I haven't read any for a 2009, but I am curious as to what the price tag is on getting that replaced? Also, are GM dealerships the only place to have that done now that Saturn is no longer in production?
Thanks for the help!

Re: In the market for a Vue...
Sorry to seem like a troll here, but I'd suggest against it. See http://priuschat.com/forums/gm-hybri...-aura-vue.html as to why, esp. from this post: http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/sho...26#post1652726.
Take a look at the maintenance histories of the GM hybrids at http://avt.inl.gov/hev.shtml vs. the Toyota hybrids. If you need a small hybrid SUV, I'd look into the Escape Hybrid instead. They seem more durable given:

When evaluating our trade-in Hyundai called Saturn/GM dealerships many of whom - including the dealership we purchased from originally - told them to, and I quote, "run away from the vehicle".
