Exclamation New Homepage!

GreenHybrid has a new homepage! I've grown tired of the messy look of the old homepage, and it wasn't dynamic anymore after we switched forum software. So, I gave it a new look. There will likely be some minor changes, still, but so far I'm liking it. What do you all think?

Hi Jason:

___When you get the chance, please update the Escape HEV data page. It is awfully blank right now.

___Good Luck

Looks good, although I would probably have it say "make a selection" rather than "select a selection" which just looks ackward. But yeah, looks good to me! The new text boxes give a nice description of what the colored tabs at the top of the screen mean. Very user friendly.

Actually, it says "select a section." But, perhaps I'll change the wording, anyway. I don't like the word "make." I was considering "click," but didn't really like the sound of it. Perhaps "choose."

Well there ya go, all the more reason to change it when it makes you see things that aren't even there!

Wayne, you'll be happy to know that I've gotten a decent amount done on the Escape section of the hybrid lineup. I was using an email that Mike sent me. Didn't you provide some info for me, once before? Was it PM or in the forums?

Jason,

I like the new look! It seems to be more inviting now (not that it was not inviting to me before).

Hi Jason:

___Yes, here they are again in case Sdctcher missed a few …

Escape HEV specs …

___The only reason I posted this morning because I was checking out various links and saw the FEH had not been updated yet.

___While you are at it, could you add a link to the RHMDB from the Discuss Page as that is the first page I hit from my own Favorites - quick links to see the new posts since last visit. As it stands now, I have to click Forums and wait for that page to load and then hit Mileage Database link to get to the RHMDB. The Quick Links drop down does not have the RHMDB included in the drop down and I sure would like to see it in there. Unless of course I missed a link somewhere else myself?

___Secondly, is there a way to link an individuals tank data from their nick yet? I see you have worked on this with Public Profile, PM, E-Mail, etc. but automating it to tie the individual’s nick to that same individual’s tank data would be the cat’s meow. A pain in the @$$ probably but totally cool nonetheless

___Good Luck

The mileage database is now the main feature of the Compare section. It can be accessed via /compare or /compare/mileage and is the main green link in the Quick Jump dropdown at the top right.

Adding the cars to members' profiles is one of the things I'd like to do. The trick, however, is that the forum software is not simple code like the rest of the site that I developed. It's a complex system of integrated languages and I don't necessarily know which files to edit or even how to edit them. I'll look into how we can go about doing this.
