As GreenHybrid becomes a well-known online hybrid resource, I am looking to recieve input from its members concerning the direction it's headed. Right now I have been concentrating primarily on the mileage database, building the community, and creating articles. However, I realize that there may be additional features that current and future visitors may desire.

My question to you is: what would you like to see here at GreenHybrid? I'm leaving the steering wheel to you, so where are we going?

I have one thought:

Review Section: When I was researching cars, I went to various
sites to find reviews. The advantage in greenhybrid is that we can
list pros/cons, and our review can be linked to our own car data.

What I hated about other sites' reviews was that you can read
someone's review, but have no idea about where they were in
some cases, no idea about their driving conditions, and
no follow-up information on how their cars performed after their
reviews. Here, a potential buyer can read the reviews AND look
up our cars' performance and see our ongoing posts. Then, they
can make a better decision as to why we praise our cars or
are frustrated by them.

Plus, with our growing list, the number of members is already
larger than many of the sites I had seen, so we should end
up with a large range of reviews, both good and bad, for each
type of hybrid.

Just a thought,
jinno

I think it is helpful to have FAQ type articles for new people. I know I surfed many sites and did many searches to get all the info I needed.

I also think some "how to" type things would be good, too.

I just did my brakes this weekend, and I know that the idea of it intimidates many people. But if you have a few tools and an hour's worth of time, you can do it yourself. I know when I did it, I had my two oldest sons (ages 7 and 5) participate in the porcess so that they would not be intimidated about tackling these kinds of things in the future.

One "how to" I would like to submit for the community when I get time, is a pictorial on adding the "hot air mod" for the Insight. It is so easy to do yet there doesn't seem to be a step by step how to with pictures out there. I want to take the mystery out of it for those who are afraid of "messing up" their Insight.
At our Milwaukee gathering one owner had not done the mod because he thought it was too complex. Once I showed him in person how to do it, his son commented how easy it was. They had read about it in the past, but the words just weren't enough to explain it.

I am sure that the other hybrids have some "how to" things that would be helpful for people to have available on this site, too.
