Re: What is an ideal EV for everyone?
My Model 3 Long Range is overkill for my daily 56 miles work and my once a month 210 miles round trip to visit friends and relatives. But to be honest, with my current lifestyle, a smaller, cheaper car with +150 mile range would have sufficed.

For me, I want 350 - 400 miles even if I sit at 70. Also, the cost needs to reduce. Again, the inflationary increase of E.V.’s is not widely discussed because it suits people not to. But the cost of E.V.’s is prohibitive and too many carmakers are using them as halo models to hide the fact you are getting less for more.

The U.S. needs:
a) electric cars with pricing around $25000 and 200 mile range
b) All automakers need to have 2-3 E.V. models and all dealers need to showcase them all over the country.
If this happens - Then atch the E.V. numbers increase.
Currently, ICE manufacturers are playing games and are scared of E.V.’s. That is the biggest problem.

This is just a reminder for you guys: Cold weather can knock 20% off range. Charging to 100% every night isn't suitable for it, so most people charge to 90% or so. Then you don't want to get caught on your last 10% and hope you're reserve makes the charging station...... so you have 60% usable worry-free battery in the winter....

Re: What is an ideal EV for everyone?
I would need something that can go 150 miles, sit for 8-10 days without being plugged in, and then get me another 150 miles to get home. Also would have to hold up in northeast winters while sitting. Currently, there aren’t any E.V.’s that would work. But my 2.7L twin-turbo f150 gets nearly 30mpgs on the highway, and I can get 700+ miles to a tank. Plus I need a truck for my family's hobbies. So that also rules the E.V.’s.
