What kind of CNG cars? The Civic? A converted car?
The Honda FCX looks pretty cool especially if one can setup a solar "generator" like I saw on Autoline Detroit a few weeks back.

BTW, with the quick sale, do you mind sharing any details (price, sales channel, etc)?

How and where did you get the backup camera? We are having a 2009 Camry Hybrid heavily modified to accomidate wife's disability and this could be very helpful.

The Eclipse BEC106 backup camera is available on Amazon.cm for about $240, or on ebay for (usually) about $150+shipping. I got mine on ebay. It works very well.

Installation instructions are on this site, in the thread:
https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...ictures-11672/

Use the pins from a mini-DB connector kit from Radio Shack, to insert the wires into the factory connector on the back of the NAV unit.

Location? Bluetooth? Navigation? Toyota BU camera? Where is display? Leather? Moon Roof? Mileage? Exterior color? Interior color? Asking Price?

Fastest response is to gopumps@aol.com

Thanks,
Martin

Thumbs up Re: 08 Camry hybrid Loaded!! Back-up camera

I think it's a great thread and glad it's been resurrected. I picked up an 08 Camry Hybrid this May and have been looking for a backup camera myself. It appears the eclipse cameras are now discontinued and I'm not having much luck on finding any 6 volt cameras. Plenty of 12 volt and all seem to have RCA connectors.

I called the STealer today and talked to the parts drone about a camera for my system and he didn't have a clue and said they don't have anything for the 08 Camry.

After reading these instructions I'm thinking I can use a 12 V camera system W/RCA jacks on my nav unit by

1) not hooking the power up to the nav and instead use the reverse light wiring &
2) cut the wires from the RCA wire and hook them up to the V+ & V- pins in the back of the unit.

Any of you electrical wizards think this is feasible? I'm thinking it should work fine but I'm no wizard even though I am a certified A&P mechanic.
