Vehicle With World's Worst Fuel Economy?
I'll pick the crawler that transports the Space Shuttle to the launch pad. It gets 150th of a mile per gallon and does not even travel 1 mph. As bad as the FE is, it is hauling something very important and uniquely qualified to do it.

I hope later this century, someone can hoist a carbon-fibre cable from the Equator 22,300 miles up to a space station - a space elevator. That would be great economy once it's built.
