Yeah. I read you an do that. I have considered doing that. I'm still aprehensive about putting the whole os on a stick because I'm not sure how many other writes it is doing other than just updating the access times.

Another thing I'm also considering is how much space the install is going to take. So it is just a matter of seeing the finished product to determine if it is worth it to put it on a stick.
