Are you a professional auto mechanic who works on hybrids/alternative fuel vehicles? If you want to earn some extra $$ by writing car reviews, please PM me. thanks!

Hi,

You might consider introducing yourself a little more. For example, magazine or news service would be a good start. I'd love to forward your offer to some of the mechanics I know but this posting is a little too sparse in details to make sense to forward. For example, writing guidelines, publications, e.t.c.

Excellent point. My apologies for not including more information. We are a website that focuses on early stage car buying (so, what car is right for me -type research, as well as a search engine that helps you find a car based on your needs). We include user reviews of cars and are starting an 'expert' mechanic review section as well. We're shooting for about 400-500 words total per review (one review per make/model/generation). The review doesn't need to cover the main features of the car, but rather focus on information like what tends to happen to the car over time, things that might go wrong, tips for what to look for, and how to service, etc. We're paying $10 per generation review and are looking for people who can cover several different makes/models. We do all cars (not just hybrids) but we specifically need people who work on hybrids as well. Does that help? thanks so much!

Good enough. Sad to say, I personally don't know these independent hybrid mechanics except by reputation and awesome work:

I'm assuming you're after the more traditional mechanic and the first references should cover that small but growing field. Now I do know a fair number of extreme "shade tree" Prius mechanics but we tend to hang out in obscure places. I also know of one Insight wizard.
