Just bought myself a new laptop for $35.
A blazing 300 megahertz AMD processor.
With huge 90 meg of ram.
And 5 gig hard drive.
Woo.

The Operating System is Windows 98 which is nothing great (DOS-based) but is okay for my current usage in a hotel. It lets me connect to the net at sedate 45 kbit per second. (Good thing Netscape uses image compression!) More than enough for chatting.
