I wish you the best in everything you do. In short, that would be Wash U. In the field you indicated, you are likely to run into my son's girlfriend. But if you change fields later, you will still be in the right place. (And last night the temperatures in Orlando and St. Louis were the same.)

He has been at Wash U a year longer than her (same HS - both National Merit Finalists and still not cheap), and enjoys the area - doing Psych research in his third semester, he was informed that his AP credit would allow him to graduate after three and a half years. But he has asked to stay the four (notice how much of the Wash U correspondence emphasizes the FOUR-year BA with no lingering) years and work on a Master's.

Only at Wash U could a student study abroad in Australia (his plan for Spring 006) and reduce the overall college cost. Again, good luck, especially with the financial aid forms due soon.

Went to check the status of my UF app and apparently I've been accepted already. Neat. At least I'm going to college

Way to go Jason. I noticed you said you got in, but will you accept?

It's a toss up between Washington University in St. Louis (pending my acceptance) and Rice. If I had to guess now, I'd say Rice... it's far from Florida but still has that comfort zone of (a) being my birthtown [Houston] (b) being warm (c) being familliar; my dad went there. I don't really know, though. I'm almost positive it'll be one of those two.
