Lets see... since I have a lot of artists Ill share a few tunes:

Armin van buuren (24 theme)
//s10.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2ZDF700SIL2053H9TH233G4WPV
Above and Beyond (can't sleep)
//s10.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1YLSKZO7O3GMB3K7TLG1PAZPKX
Headstrong - ft. Tiff Lacey - Close Your Eyes (Dwight Van Mann Remix)
//s10.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1A73L5B9F2VX719205TIWUKXC2
All melody and euphoria!! I can't live without it... and the vocals are the icing on the cake. I can't stand trance that repeats one segment forever and songs like these give me faith in variation in trance!

I like to perfer trance as a state of mind, not just a genre and its considered the "teenagers" orchestra.

I can't wait till this genre is evovled to something crazy ~~ but unfortnately in the world of electronica for every 100 crappy songs there's 1 that's bound to set you soaring into heights you never imagined....

other honorable artists: Tiesto, Grabriel & Desrdren, Kyau vs Albert, Thrillseekers, Ronski Speed, Andy Moor + Leeamoor, ATB, Benni Bennasi, Brooklyn Bounce, Deep dish, Cosmic Gate, Ferry Corstien, Menno De Jong, rank1, airwave, Vincent De Moor and Pendulum even though he's not trance related but his melodies are good

50 Gigs of trance and counting!

Symphonic Movie Soundtracks mostly.

V for Vendetta
Gladiator
Matrix Reloaded
Lord of the Rings
etc.

Though I do usually have 2 other CDs, something like Sarah Mclachlan, Godsmack, etc. That way, no matter the mood, I have a CD in the player to match it.

You might like the soundtrack to "The Island". My husband and I both went out and bought copies of it the day after we watched it (Netflix), much to our mutual chagrin.

My music tastes are all over the map, hence the need for my 4GB iPod Nano (I once had a 30GB 'classic' iPod but I much prefer the smaller form factor of the Nano & Shuffle.)

Sorry to revive a 2 year old thread, but it looked cool and I wanted to put in my 2 cents

I mostly listen to hardcore punk (Madball, Blue Bloods) the best is to pull up to a red light and have the person next to me just watch me thinking that im going to peel out.... and then do 0-60 in two minutes

I never saw this thread before. Thanks for reviving it.
Oddly enough, I never would've driven a car without listening to music before...but now that I have the hybrid, I often drive while listening only to its uniquely hybrid sound effects. How dorky is that?
Music-wise I listen to a mix of classic/hard/punk/alternative and Celtic rock. When I'm not listening to that "whirring" and such.

It varies. Any of the following might be on:
NPR
CDs: Cranberries (any of their five albums including Dolores O'Rierdon's newest solo album).
Best of U2 (the '80s)
Enya
Soundtrack to "Lord of the Rings"
miscellaneous R&R

I drive without anything on the radio/stereo frequently.
