Interesting that the "petrol" version beat the all aluminum diesel version mpg wise-38 to 34mpg.
This is the second time we have seen that here-last week someone posted a Brit-Opel-vax something mini car beating its diesel version in a cross GB mpg test-900 miles less than 10 gallons(Brit gallons,I guess,but still very good).
The diesels "should" win, but they don't.There only disadvantage is weight-and with an all aluminum block and head there isn't much weight disadvantage.The only ones we have hear-VWs probably would have a very hard time beating a 2006 Civic gasoline version mpg wise.Charlie
