NY Times- ethanol and synthetic diesel

registration probably required.
Focuses on cellulose-based ethanol, in place of corn-based. Happy, Xcel?
Also talks about synthetic diesel from methane and coal- even mentions Germany in WW2.
Some estimates have stated that the war would have been over 6 months earlier had Germany not been so good at making lots and lots and lots of synthetic fuels. The Battle of the Bulge would never have occurred- the Panzers would've been stuck in garrison!

Hi GoNavy:
___Happy
___I want you to consider following the new articles as they appear on an almost daily basis at both GreenCarCongress and EVWorld (if you do not already?). The amount of information about various syn fuels and how they can be processed is really quite interesting.
___Good Luck

Re: NY Times- ethanol and synthetic diesel
Thanks. I peruse on over there on occasion.
I've been bitten by the ethanol bug (well, the denatured type this time). I guess I've gotten sensitized enough to FE in general; time to move on to the next reduction- CO2 overall...corn stoves, all that good stuff.
