MSNBC: "Blue" States Go Beyond Fed Regulations
Note: Of course this is political, but I hope it does not get highly polarized.
On with the story: a number of states, mostly New England and California are making tighter environmental laws than the Federal government out of frustration - see MSNBC Story. California and Connectiuct have GOP govenors so these initiatives have a certain level of bipartisan support. Article notes companies are disturbed by the web of regulations that vary from state-to-state.
Jason: What are the chances you could contact Amy Myres Jaffe - Assoc, Director of the Energy Program at Rice? She was quoted in the article.
My take on the article: Tighter federal regulations would be better than dozens of varying state regulations from whatever perspective you wish to see it from.
