I really liked the electric car.
One of the sadest days I can think of when I had to let it go becuase I couldn't get parts anymore. I got it cheap when the early ones were being dumped -- private sale (actually a re-lease because of GM's arrangement) before GM put the hammer down. I was working an internshhip in LA at the time going from Gardena to the airport out by Santa Monica. I got it from a guy in Hollywood who needed more range. It was perfect for that commute. I think I computed my direct operating cost at 6.5/mile cents at the time with everything all up including insurance, and indirects were still under a dime 'cause I got it so cheap. I only had it two years, but one of the best rides I've owned.
I own the movie, too -- play it a lot.
