Default Johnson Control-Saft new battery plant

indicates a lithium-ion battery plant is under renovation and has the capacity to produce 15 million units a year! The upcoming 2012 Ford Escape PHEV uses Johnson Control-Saft lithium ion batteries.

You know, I asked when is Ford gong to a Li-Ion battery pack and somebody proceded to list all the negatives of Li-Ion battery packs! Ford must have a different opinion.

The article does NOT say FEH, it says "hybrid vehicle". Just a note for accuracy; Ford may be thinking more of the FFH for a plug in.

There is no evidence of a Ford PHEV FFH. There is evidence of a Ford PHEV FEH. In fact, as of May 2009, there were 22 PHEV FEH running in the real world undergoing "evaluation". Each of these PHEV FEH have the Johnson Control-Saft lithium-ion battery. This link: http://www.mixedpower.com/research/f...-hybrids-phev/ states PHEV Escape is to arrive in 2012.
